LIVING IN THE PAST episode 4

On the appointed day, Emily went to visit Gregor but asked Pretty to accompany her so as to appear decent. When she arrived, Gregor was very happy to see her. They haven't seen each other for a while. They were no longer attending lessons; they had written their SSCE and were prepping for JAMB. Gregor hugged Emily warmly and invited them into the house. Mr. Leonard was already seated at the living room. Gregor introduced his father to them saying, "This is my beloved father with whom I'm well pleased." Gregor said this to make them all smile which was successful. Then he continued, "I mean, He's my everything. My reason for living. He's all that I have." Emily was touched by his words. She wished she could say the same about her father. Emily and Pretty both greeted Mr. Leonard. Gregor's father was kind enough to entertain them and made them feel at home. After a while, Mr. Leonard had to leave for his poultry but warned them to be of good behaviour while he's gone. Then he went off.

They all spent the whole day together. At some point, Pretty noticed how Gregor and Emily looked at each other steadily. There was so much love in their eyes. For a minute, they forgot the presence of Pretty in the house. Pretty was so jealous. "Emily knows I'm crushing on Gregor," she said to her self. "Then why is she flirting with him? I just have to do something." Turning to Gregor she asked, "Gregor, I hope you will be attending Emily's wedding in less than 4 months?" Gregor was shocked. He asked, "What wedding?" "Didn't Emily tell you that she'd be getting married?" Gregor couldn't believe it. He sat up, turned to Emily and asked in a calm voice, "Emily my princess, what is she talking about? Are you getting married?" "It's not what you think," said Emily. "I beg of you," interrupted Gregor. "Please answer my question." "Yes I am engaged and I'm about getting married but..." "But you never told me," interrupted Gregor in anger. "And you let me fall madly in love with you." After saying this, Gregor left the house sorrowfully. Emily did not know which of these two feelings to express; whether to be angry at Pretty for the surprise or to be happy knowing that Gregor also loves her as much as she loves him. She looked at Pretty with so much disappointment and left.

LIVING IN THE PAST episode 7

One hot afternoon, Oliver went to Gregor's house and they were having a conversation in the sitting room when suddenly Emily ran into the house, quickly shut the door and bolted it. Gregor and Oliver were both alerted and surprised. Happily, Gregor rose to his feet and gave her a big hug. "Sit down here," Gregor said as he offered her a sit. Then Gregor asked her, "Where have you been and who is chasing you?"  Surprisingly Emily asked, "Didn't Pretty tell you? I sent her to you." "No she didn't," replied Gregor. "Strange," exclaimed Emily. "Well I was under house arrest. Not by the police but by Alex. I just escaped from the house." She paused, caught her breath and continued. "Please Gregor," she said. "I don't want to go back to that house. Otherwise in two weeks time, my father will sell me off to Alex in the name of marriage." "And I wouldn't let you go back there either,"...

LIVING IN THE PAST episode 5

The next day, Oliver and Gregor were hanging out together. Oliver was cracking jokes that amuses Gregor and makes him laugh. But this time around the case was different. Gregor was absent minded. He had so much sorrow in his eyes. Oliver had never seen his friend so sad before. So he had to ask, "what's wrong, Gregor? You seem lost in thoughts." Gregor had tears in his eyes as he tried to speak up. He's hands were a bit sweaty and shaky. Then he said, "My friend, I found out yesterday that Emily is getting married in 4 months or less." "What!!!" Oliver exclaimed. "How is it possible that Emily, a girl of 18 years old, is getting married?" "I don't know," replied Gregor. "I haven't spoken to her about it since then." "You have to talk to her," advised Oliver. "Or you could end up judging her without knowing the true story behind it. I know you love her. That is why you feel that way. But you have...
