LIVING IN THE PAST episode 7

 One hot afternoon, Oliver went to Gregor's house and they were having a conversation in the sitting room when suddenly Emily ran into the house, quickly shut the door and bolted it. Gregor and Oliver were both alerted and surprised. Happily, Gregor rose to his feet and gave her a big hug. "Sit down here," Gregor said as he offered her a sit. Then Gregor asked her, "Where have you been and who is chasing you?"  Surprisingly Emily asked, "Didn't Pretty tell you? I sent her to you." "No she didn't," replied Gregor. "Strange," exclaimed Emily. "Well I was under house arrest. Not by the police but by Alex. I just escaped from the house." She paused, caught her breath and continued. "Please Gregor," she said. "I don't want to go back to that house. Otherwise in two weeks time, my father will sell me off to Alex in the name of marriage." "And I wouldn't let you go back there either," said Gregor as he held her and kissed her so lovingly. Then Oliver interrupted saying, "If you aren't going back, where will you stay? When Alex realises you are missing in the house this will be the first place he will come and he will kill my friend if he finds you here." "He can't do anything," said Gregor angrily. "He can't do more than a dead rat because he can't stop Emily and I from loving each other." "Gregor my friend," said Oliver. "This is my advice to you. Take Emily to a far away land. After the time of the wedding has passed, then you both can come back. You know quite well that if you run away with Alex's would be wife, the press will come in and the The police as well. Alex wouldn't want his evil deeds to be brought to light so he will rather let it go than stare up curiosity by the masses. Gregor, there is no guarantee that this will work but its your best option right now."  "No I can't leave like that," protested Gregor. "Who will take care of my father? I can't leave him alone like that." "Yes you are right," affirmed Emily. "Besides what will happen when we come back? My father will just kill us." "Ok do you have a better idea?" asked Oliver. Emily and Gregor kept quiet because they had none. Then Oliver continued, "Just do as I've said and leave the rest to God. As for your father Gregor, i will take care of him. He's also my father." 

After Gregor thought about it and considered the fact that they had not much time for Emily to leave the house, he decided to run away with Emily as Oliver had advised. Oliver was the only one aware of their whereabouts.  Gregor took Emily to a very far place. They were both happy. It turned out to be the best decision they ever made because they loved each other to the full without fear of any one finding out. They couldn't get tired of hugging and kissing each other everytime. Things back at home happened just as Oliver had for seen. 

One week later, it was Gregor's 19th year birthday. That faithful night, Emily asked Gregor to take her pride. Gregor couldn't hold back the happiness in his heart. He was so happy that Emily found him worthy to take her innocence. That night, Gregor made love to Emily. According to Gregor, Emily was the most wonderful thing that ever came his way. He kept on telling her how beautiful and special she was.

Back at home, Pretty was frustrated not knowing the whereabout of the love birds. Alex swore to kill Gregor if he ever sets his eyes on him. Mr. Charles was busy looking for them everywhere. He regretted not killing Gregor a long time ago.

 On the appointed day, Emily went to visit Gregor but asked Pretty to accompany her so as to appear decent. When she arrived, Gregor was very happy to see her.  The next day, Oliver and Gregor were hanging out together. Oliver was cracking jokes that amuses Gregor and makes him laugh. But this time around the case was different. Gregor was absent minded. He had so much sorrow in his eyes. Oliver had never seen his friend so sad before. So he had to ask, "what's wrong, Gregor? You seem lost in thoughts." Gregor had tears in his eyes as he tried to speak up. He's hands were a bit sweaty and shaky. Then he said, "My friend, I found out yesterday that Emily is getting married in 4 months or less." "What!!!" Oliver exclaimed. "How is it possible that Emily, a girl of 18 years old, is getting married?" "I don't know," replied Gregor. "I haven't spoken to her about it since then."
